This is probably the oldest
drag race Pop in the country, the original “Good Vibrations”
car that raced in the 70s and went on to become “Liquidator”.
In the early 80s Des Taylor bought the car and created “Revell Rebel”,
running 9.6s in SuperGas before selling it to a young lad who would later
grow into Ed Gasket!
This was Gasket’s first rod, put back on the street with a Rover
lump. The tube-framed Pop now resides in the hands of John French in Blackpool
and sees plenty of street action, with a 318 Mopar lump.
