With the weather so good it seemed to good an opportunity to miss, so we gave the old Mercury a top-down blast down the motorway to the Cheshire Cruise, hosted by American Automags.
The place was predictably mobbed with radical rides, from muscle cars old and new through to rods and supercars and a good turnout of bikes, notably from the local chapter of the Hells Angels who brought along some real fine Harleys.
The field aside the pub has now been opened up to ease parking (damn good job on this evening too!) and most folks stayed well into the darkness, just enjoying the atmosphere. If you haven't been along to this one yet, make sure you stop by this year - you'll be impressed!

ProMod Crash At Shakey
Kevin Slyfield crashed his gorgeous Willys Sedan Pro Mod during qualifying this Saturday, at Shakespeare County Raceway. The car got out of sape in the burnout and sent sideways through the Christmas tree before hitting the left hand lane armco head on. Kevin was not injured in the incident and we hope to see him and the car back out soon.

Hot Rods & Hills
The second Hot Rods & Hills Weekend will take place 13th-15th June this year, again at the excellent Park Foot venue on the shores of Lake Ullswater. This was a fantastic driving event last year, with more of the same promised again by organiser, Craig Dixon. There will be live music on Saturday by The Cats - for more details contact Craig on 07766396477.
In addition this year we will be organising a laid back week for those wishing to stay on at the camp site and then have a cruise down to the Northern Hot Rod Club event at Cleethorpes the following weekend. If you fancy a weekend or a week of just plain enjoying your motor then this is it! Help our contribution towards global warming by joining us.
