Sad End For SandS Lounge
The popular drag racing forum, The SandS Lounge, has sadly been axed by proprietor Nick Fitt. The forum was the first drag racing forum open to all classes in the UK, and was adopted by NSCC with whom Nick campaigned his Mustang race car.
Unfortunately through a number of circumstances the license for the site has not been renewed and it fell into the ether on 25th April.
Discussions are currently underway towards building a new forum for NSCC, watch this space for more details!

Shakespeare County's
New Look
A trip to Shakespeare County Raceway this Easter revealed some interesting changes afoot. Aside from having revamped the toilet block and the bar (including new disco) there were an abundance of marshalls in the pits to keep the one way system enforced and help any newcomers out by pointing them in the right direction.
To the rear of the banking, by the return road there is also a new strip being laid for tractor pulling! Yes, the June meeting will include SCR's first ever venture into the multi-engined horsepower extravaganza that brings out the farmer in every hotrodder! The plan will be to run the tractor pulling at about 4pm, as the action on the track is winding down.
Also on the agenda, possibly even in time for the next RWYB meet, is to resurface the entrance road - and that's ALL of the entrance road, from the turn-off, into the site, through the pay booth and right into the pits. That's some serious investment, which is a very promising thing!
